This bulletin involves reprogramming the PCM with the latest available software.

2022 (DD) RAM 3500 Cab Chassis

2022 (DF) RAM 3500 <10K LB. Cab Chassis

This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries: North America.

NOTE:

This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a 6.4L V8 Heavy Duty Hemi MDS Engine (Sales Code ESB) with:

? DD/DP vehicles built on or after December 21, 2021 (MDH 1221XX) equipped with 6SPD Auto Aisin AS66RC HD Trans (Sales Code DF3).

? DD/DJ/D2 or DF vehicles equipped with an 8Speed Auto 8HP75LCV Transmission (Sales Code DFX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The customer may experience one or more of the following:

? Customer may complain of slow PTO idle ramp up.

? Message will appear 9Hot Oil9 and exit high idle or PTO mode, when in high idle or PTO mode and running between 1030 minutes (no load).

? High frequency exhaust noise at idle after cold start.

REPAIR:

The vehicle must be taken to a Ram dealer. Inform the service advisor of the issue and the above listed TSB number. The dealer will re-flash the ECM.
